A popular fundraising event for good causes could be out for a duck unless new volunteers step forward to take it on.
The annual Ilkley Moor Lions Club duck race, run for more than a quarter of a century, is held on the River Wharfe on the same day as Ilkley Carnival on the first May Bank Holiday.
But dwindling membership of Ilkley Moor Lions Club means the club cannot run the duck race again. President and secretary Jim Shelton (pictured) said: “We’re down to nine members. Two or three are in their 70s and I’m 83.”
Contact Mr Shelton on (01943) 862352 if you can help with the event.

I know other morons in the Bradford area who would completely agree with you though, which is why sadly Bradford has no future. Did you see that a muslim scout group has been formed? I guess you think that is bad news also. You need help sonny
