Ilkley Air Cadets enjoy day of training

Air Cadets in the 1224 (Wharfedale) Squadron based in Ilkley joined cadets from all over the North of England at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, near York, for a day of competitions at the 2009 Regional Training Day.

The cadets represented South and West Yorkshire Wing in a number of competitions and were successful in the Band Ensemble and First Aid. On the same day, also at RAF Linton on Ouse, Cadet Flight Sergeant Scott Watson and Cadet Corporal Sam White completed their Gliding Scholarship with solo flights in the Corps own gliders.
